The nearby Kingsbridge, Salcombe Estuary begins at the English Channel and winds itself five miles up to the heart of Kingsbridge. 

There are endless opportunities to enjoy the water from ashore, sitting alongside the estuary enjoying a meal or drink at one of the local waterside eateries; picnicking on the beach, or simply observing an abundance of wildlife from the riverbank.

 
There are several ferry rides and estuary cruises for those that wish to be ‘on’ the water rather than ‘in’ the water!
