One of our favorite B+B stays ever. It's in a great location and the hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Had a great yoga session one of the mornings with Donna, and they gave us loads of information about the local area.

We have stayed before and so knew the accommodation but this time we had a larger room with a lovely view. Donna and Marcus cannot do enough for you but also allowing you space to enjoy your stay. The wood burner was lit for us to be able to enjoy sitting in the cabin for our meal in the evening and we LOVE sitting in there. The beds are very comfortable and the room and bathroom extremely clean and cosy.

A fantastic, friendly and homely accommodation with wonderful views. Lovely location, not far out of Kingsbridge or Salcombe. Clean, comfortable accommodation with extra “snug” facilities outside the house. Very friendly and helpful owners; made to feel very welcome. An excellent base for a relaxing break.

Merrifield is a beautiful place to stay both inside and out. Ideally located in peaceful surroundings, with access to 2 fields perfect for relaxing, reading, yoga. Also a cosy 'snug' with a comfy sofa and furniture suitable for playing cards, eating, drinking and further relaxation with a log burner, fridge freezer, blankets and lovely lighting. The very kind, friendly and helpful hosts - Marcus and Donna (and their dog Deezil) - went above and beyond to accommodate our needs with their local knowledge, hard work, attention to detail, and beautiful taste to make our stay perfect.

So glad we stayed two nights at Merrifield House to compliment the yoga retreat on Saturday. A lovely property in the country, yet Salcombe and local beaches only a short drive away. Personal stand out feature for me was the outside snug. A fab area to either chill or socialise complete with fridge, wood burner, kettle and toaster. New dining furniture was elegant and a great asset to the snug. Rooms were clean with nice touches like hot water bottles and good soap.

Comfy bed and peaceful surroundings made for a perfect nights sleep. There’s also a great outside room in which to relax and enjoy a coffee.

They were around to share local knowledge and make us feel comfortable. And the snug with the fire is gorgeous to spend the evening in.

I stayed with my Dad and brother whilst walking the South Coast Path and would highly recommend. Donna offers therapy treatments too, which I wish I had made time for. Next time! Thanks both!

Very clean and comfortable room. Great views and lots of snacks available with tea and coffee. Fabulous snug area available outside with tea, coffee and fridge available. Comfortable wicker sofa, magazines and Apres Ski theme!

The hosts Donna and Marcus couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful and Deezil the dog is gorgeous!! Will definitely be returning to stay and try out the yoga and treatments available!!

A perfect four day rural Devon stay so close to the sea!

Peaceful location just what I was looking for and my dog BB loved the field and the nearby footpath!

I really enjoyed the extra space overlooking the field…. A great spot for breakfast!

Great host. Ideal for walking and peace and quiet. Exceptionally clean and welcoming room.

It is set up so that you can take your own food and eat in the outside covered area, with fridge etc, this is a real bonus.

The room was spotless and very comfortable. The snug is great so you can take your own favourite foods for breakfast etc, but we ordered a breakfast from Janey at Feast Kitchen for one of our mornings, which was delicious. We enjoyed beach yoga with Donna too!! :)

The hosts Donna and Marcus were so friendly (so was Deezil their friendly lab!) and nothing was too much trouble for them, the location is so peaceful and tranquil, and they allow dogs so the grounds and adjoining fields are great for walking them. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and they have a great outside "snug" with an enormous selection of very good quality teas and coffees. Highly recommended!!

We had a great time in a great spot in extremely comfy good value accommodation with great hosts.
Hosts made a real effort with everyone but were also non fussy and very relaxed. Loved the extra summer house / snug to also use for own breakfasts and to eat and socialise in. Very sociable spot in a natural non forced way. Daughter needed a place for a night or two with boyfriend and Donna was great and so flexible accommodating when really they were pretty booked up. All needs taken care of. Nice change for me not to think of it all for once! Big thanks to both Donna and Marcus.

A lovely, relaxing stay, close to Salcombe, but set in perfect tranquillity.

All of the extras were lovely. The tray in the room and bathroom. The outside 'snug' was excellent and very well kitted out with everything you could need.

The welcome pack for the dog. The location was beautiful, and very peaceful. The hosts, Donna and Marcus, were fantastic, very welcoming, informative, and helpful.

The whole [Bespoke Yoga Retreat] experience from the calm and tranquil setting to the wonderful yoga sessions was hugely beneficial in focusing some much-needed time on myself! Donna and Marcus were warm and hospitable, and the food was delicious. Donna is nurturing and supportive and extremely knowledgeable and I had the most amazing time and have come away with practical tools to be able to support me in my day-to-day life!

Really enjoyed our stay! Thank you. The property is in a really good location, 10 minutes to Kingsbridge, also not far from beautiful Bantham beach and Hope Cove. Car parking was always available at the back of the house. The room and en-suite were beautiful, clean, and cosy. The bed was so comfortable which is important to us after a day of walking! Donna and Marcus were brilliant hosts, communication was great, they were always available if you need anything and just very friendly welcoming people. We would definitely visit here again!

What an amazing [Bespoke Yoga Retreat} experience! Five days away from the chaos focusing on the body, mind and soul. I came away feeling totally refreshed after we bathed in the forest and grounded ourselves with mother nature and laughed until our bellies hurt with laughter yoga. The variety of yoga was beautiful especially as it was accompanied with poetic words which connected with our hearts. Rooms are clean,tidy,practical and the little left gifts added to the welcoming vibe.

The outdoor hut was an ideal space to relax either in the morning with a cuppa or chill in the evening with a glass of your favourite beverage. Jay Jay (my dog) had freedom to roam around outside and would like to thank Donna and Marcus for letting him live his best life!!

Our room was bright with a beautiful view over the fields, comfortable & clean. Enjoyed the treats left for both us and our dog. The fields had well thought out seating areas to watch the sunrise & sunset. The outdoor hut is a perfect relaxation space both in the morning and evening with the wood burner lite. Lovely to have a variety of tea, coffee & hot chocolate to choose from and there is a fridge to store your own supplies. Thank you.

Beautiful location and very warm and welcoming hosts. We both had a massage by Donna which was very relaxing . I joined a yoga class in the yoga studio and attended a yin class. The snug was excellent for us as a group of 4, we could put food in the large fridge and enjoy meals around the table or relax on the comfortable settee. Enjoyed our own breakfasts in here too. Lovely stay in an idyllic place. Thank you for your warm hospitality :) A clean and simple room in a beautiful location. Perfect for exploring south Devon. Tea and coffee were not available in the room but were in the snug outside. This is fine but we didn’t know until we’d got there.

Beautiful break in the Devon countryside. The location was idyllic! We were able to travel to Hope Cove, Thurlestone and Salcombe all within 10-15 minutes. The room was lovely and absolutely spotless. The bed was incredibly comfortable, so we slept very well. Donna and Marcus are such a lovely couple, and really take their time to ensure you are enjoying your stay. They were perfect hosts. Cannot recommend enough! We had the perfect stay!

Perfect base for exploring the area! Merrifield House is located in a lovely setting not far from Kingsbridge. Donna and Marcus were really friendly and helpful hosts on arrival and throughout our stay keeping us well informed! The room was clean and neat and the shower in the en-suite was good too! A relaxing mini break. We feel so lucky to have found Merrifield House, a hidden gem in a such a great location and an excellent base for all the places we wanted to visit around South Devon. The room was extremely clean with a comfortable bed. Donna, Marcus and Deezil their dog were excellent hosts so we will definitely be making a return visit at some point.

The whole experience exceeded our expectations, the room was beautifully decorated, the bed configuration was perfect for three friends sharing. The shared space available to relax in was wonderful, a full fridge was handy and the teas and coffee on offer were endless. A very nice furnished and presented room with en-suite. Very clean with good quality bedding and bathroom towels. Good quiet location just off the A379, with wonderful views. Perfect for relaxation away from the daily hustle & bustle. We only had two nights but would thoroughly recommend. Donna & Marcus are perfect hosts giving a warm and friendly welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay at Merrifield House. It is really beautiful, super clean and very comfortable. We had a very good night sleep as it is very quiet around and woke up to go for walks in the fields around which was lovely. One more thing to mention is the positive energy around the place! The hosts are great and very hospitable. I definitely recommend this place!
