GETTING TO MERRIFIELD HOUSE

CAR: We are located approx. 3.5 miles outside Kingsbridge. We recommend you have a car if you are coming to stay with us. Please see our Directions page for further information.

TRAIN:  Our closest train station is Totnes, with direct links from/to London, Bristol, Exeter, and Plymouth. Travel on the Paddington to Plymouth train line and alight at either Totnes (16 miles) or Plymouth (20 miles). From Totnes, or Plymouth you can catch a bus to Kingsbridge, Churchstow or Aveton Gifford (please see below). Thereafter, you will need a short taxi ride to Merrifield House (3.5 miles).

BUS: Our closest bus stops are Churchstow, Aveton Gifford and Kingsbridge. Monday through Saturday (except bank holidays) we are serviced by the Dartmouth/Plymouth line – Stagecoach #3 (alight at Churchstow (1 mile), Aveton Gifford (2 miles) or Kingsbridge (3.5 miles). On Sundays and bank holidays, we are serviced by the Dartmouth/ Kingsbridge line – Stagecoach #3 (alight at Kingsbridge (3.5 miles). Thereafter, you will need a short taxi ride to Merrifield House (3.5 miles).

COACH: A coach service is available from London Victoria Coach Station to Plymouth.  It is possible either direct or with one change usually in either Bristol or Exeter. This can be booked in advance from either National Express or Mega Bus.

AIR: Travel from Exeter Airport or Newquay Airport. There are regular direct flights from Amsterdam (Flybe to Exeter), Berlin (Eurowings to Newquay) and connecting flights from other UK airports.
